TSA PreCheck®

What is TSA PreCheck?
TSA PreCheck® is an expedited screening program operated by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
When boarding domestic and international flights departing from more than 200 U.S. airports, you can pass through security screening faster and more conveniently.
TSA PreCheck Benefits
Reduced Wait Times
With a dedicated lane, the average wait time is under 10 minutes, so you can get through faster. (Based on official TSA statistics)
Simplified Screening Process
You don't need to remove your shoes, belt, or light jacket, and you can leave laptops and liquids (in compliance with the 3-1-1 rule) in your bag.
Benefits for Accompanying Children
If the guardian is enrolled in TSA, children 17 and under can use it together for free.
How to Apply and Use
TSA PreCheck is available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Korean and other nationals can enjoy TSA PreCheck benefits through the Trusted Traveler Program.
1
Apply for TSA PreCheck
U.S. Citizens & Permanent Residents
- After applying for TSA PreCheck®, please obtain your KTN (Known Traveler Number).
- Once you apply, it is valid for up to 5 years. (Global Entry incurs a separate fee upon renewal)
Korean & Other Nationals
- Even if you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, members of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Trusted Traveler Programs—such as Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI—are eligible for TSA PreCheck benefits.
- Each program membership is valid for 5 years and automatically includes TSA PreCheck.
- Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI cards are also official U.S. government-issued IDs and can be used for identity verification at U.S. airport security checkpoints.
2
Enter Your KTN at Check-in
- Please enter the KTN (Known Traveler Number) you obtained during online check-in. (When checking in at the airport, please inform the agent at the counter.)
- If you do not enter your KTN, you will use the standard security screening lane.
3
Check Your Boarding Pass
Once check-in is complete and your boarding pass is issued, 'TSA Pre✓' will appear below the QR code.
You can then proceed to the dedicated lane at the security checkpoint.
