Notice of Changes to CDC Regulations on Rabies Quarantine for Entry into the US

We would like to inform you of the updated regulations by the CDC regarding the entry of pets (dogs) into the United States. 

Please review these changes if you are traveling with your pet. 

*Excludes cats and birds


1. Effective Date: 

- Passengers traveling with pets/service dogs to the United States on or after August 1, 2024


2. Changes in Regulations:

- 1) Mandatory Requirements:

   A. Dogs must be at least 6 months old.

   B. Dogs must have an ISO-compatible microchip. 

   CApproved CDC Dog Import Form receipt (link).


- 2) Additional Documentation:

   - Requirements vary based on countries visited and vaccination status in the last 6 months.
   - Check the CDC website for details.
