Delayed/damaged baggage

Air Premia is liable for compensation only if damage to baggage occurs due to the company’s willful misconduct or negligence during transportation, storage, or handling.

Checked Baggage Delay and Loss

Checked baggage delays or losses must be reported to Air Premia within 21 days from the date the baggage was checked in. In accordance with US DOT regulations, if checked baggage with excess baggage charges arrives with a delay of 15 hours (for flights under 12 hours) or 30 hours (for flights over 12 hours) on US-bound or US-departing flights, the excess baggage fee will be refunded.

Compensation will not be provided in the following cases:

  • If the company has taken all necessary measures to prevent damage, or if it is proven that such measures could not be taken due to force majeure
  • If the damage was caused by the passenger’s own actions or negligence
  • Loss of contents caused by overpacking or packing items beyond the capacity of the baggage
  • Accessories attached to the bag, external locks, or straps
  • Prohibited items in checked baggage

Reporting Contact

When reporting, please include your name, flight number, travel date and time, and contact information in the email.

For items lost on board, please report them to the In-flight Lost and Found Center.

Lost Items at the Airport

For items lost in airport areas (check-in counters, boarding gates, duty-free zones, etc.), please contact the relevant authority at each airport.

  • When collecting lost items at the respective location, you must bring the ID of the person who completed the claim form. (If you do not bring the ID, you may be restricted from collecting the item.)
