Baggages

Special baggage

The maximum weight for special baggage is 32 kg (71 lbs), and the total size must not exceed 292 cm (114.9 inches) across all three dimensions.

Due to their irregular shape and size, special baggage is more prone to bending or damage during transport. It must be securely packed in a dedicated hard case or a box with internal cushioning to be accepted as checked baggage.

Sports equipment other than golf bags, snowboards, and snow skis (such as water ski equipment, surfboards, windsurfing gear, scuba diving gear, bicycles, hockey gear, etc.) is counted as one checked bag. If the total dimensions are within 292 cm (114.9 inches), oversize charges do not apply; however, if the weight or quantity exceeds the limit, excess baggage charges will be applied.

A separate handling fee of KRW 10,000 (USD 10) will be charged regardless of the free baggage allowance. (Excludes golf bags, snowboards, and snow skis)

Special baggage that is not properly packed will not be compensated in the event of damage.

You must complete the Special Baggage Transport Agreement at check-in.

Golf Equipment

The combined weight of one golf bag and one regular bag is considered as one piece of checked baggage under the free baggage allowance for the respective class.

Example: A passenger eligible for 1 piece (23 kg) of free checked baggage checks in a golf bag.

  • If the combined weight of 1 golf bag + 1 regular bag is within 23 kg: considered as 1 checked baggage item
  • If the combined weight is within 32 kg: considered as 1 checked baggage item, but overweight charges apply
  • If the combined weight exceeds 32 kg but is within 45 kg: considered as 2 checked baggage items

Scuba Diving Equipment

1 air tank + 1 scuba diving gear bag is considered as 1 piece of checked baggage.

Scuba diving gear must have the air tank completely empty, and the tank must be open for visual inspection.

Underwater flashlights may be carried on board. In this case, the battery must be removed, and the transport of the removed battery must comply with Air Premia’s battery transport regulations.

Bicycles

Bicycles must be packed in a dedicated case or cardboard box with internal cushioning, with the handlebars fixed and the pedals removed.

Motorized bicycles, motorcycles, and jet skis cannot be transported as checked baggage.

All lithium battery-powered personal mobility devices, including electric bicycles, air wheels, hoverboards, electric scooters, electric kickboards, and electric skateboards, are prohibited from both carry-on and checked baggage regardless of battery capacity.

Fishing Equipment

1 fishing rod case + 1 tackle box will be considered as 1 piece of checked baggage.

Hockey/Lacrosse Equipment

1 equipment bag + 1 stick will be considered as 1 piece of checked baggage.
