Excess baggage

If you need more allowance for checked-in baggage, you may purchase extra allowance at the check-in counter. (price is based on departure from Korea)

The Economy 35 Lite fare is applied to every kilogram in excess of 15kg.

If the number of items, weight and size are all in excess at the same time, the surcharge for each category is added up.
- Criteria: Passengers with free baggage allowance of 23kg
  When checking in an additional 20kg on a Korea-Northeast Asia route: KRW 70,000 (for being in excess of the allowed number of items)
  When checking in an additional 26kg on a Korea-Northeast Asia route: KRW 70,000(for being in excess of the allowed number of items) + KRW 30,000 (for being in excess of the allowed weight) = KRW 100,000 in total
  When checking in an additional 26kg of items that are 210cm in size on a Korea-Northeast Asia route: KRW 70,000 (for being in excess of the allowed number of items) + KRW 30,000 (for being in excess of the allowed weight) + KRW 160,000 (for being in excess of the allowed size) = KRW 260,000 in total
To prevent safety incidents, the weight of the baggage should be 32kg or less. Any items in excess of 32kg may be rejected.

Fees

A surcharge will have to be paid for baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance.
The fees for extra baggage allowance are based on cases when the extra allowance is purchased at the airport.
The maximum allowance for the weight and volume of checked-in baggage may vary according to the departure/arrival country.

When checking in at the gate other than carry-on baggage, a separate gate check fee is charged per kg.

The checked baggage of the boarding gate shall be within the 23 kg maximum, and the sum of 3 sides shall be within 158 cm
(If the maximum size exceeds 158cm (3 sides) and the maximum weight exceeds 23 kg, it must be packed separately)

Baggage check-in may not be possible at the boarding gate depending on on-site circumstances.
